Bring binoculars if you have them, comfortable footwear, water, and clothing appropriate for the changing weather.
At shoreline locations, take time to scan the water before moving on. In forests and wetlands, stop often and listen for calls and movement.
Check current hours, trail conditions, and regulations for individual destinations before visiting. Conditions and access may change with weather and season.
